I am so excited about the adventure we start together this weekend of exploring the vision, plans and purposes that God has for us here in Nelson County. This week in preparation for our time together I am going to be sending you verses for you to meditate on and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you. Also, all of these verses include the name that God has given us for this new fellowship. (Kudos to you if you figure it out... if not I will tell you on Sunday :)
Jeremiah 17:5
Wisdom from the LORD
5 This is what the Lord says:
"Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans,
who rely on human strength
and turn their hearts away from the Lord .6 They are like stunted shrubs in the desert,
with no hope for the future.
They will live in the barren wilderness,
in an uninhabited salty land.
7 "But blessed are those who trust in the Lord
and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.8 They are like trees planted along a riverbank,
with roots that reach deep into the water.
Such trees are not bothered by the heat
or worried by long months of drought.
Their leaves stay green,
and they never stop producing fruit.

As we begin this journey I am encouraged by God's word to us that if we trust in Him we will never stop producing fruit. May you and your family have a prosperous and fruitful week.
Brian
PS. If you would like to start designating your tithing to the Nelson Church you can do that by using the online giving on the Cornerstone of Augusta website www.CornerstoneAugusta.org and then selecting Nelson Tithe as the account for your giving to go to.
